Martine Morte Character Sheet

Again, a character about whom I have Many Thoughts.

Martine is the smart one. Smart and ambitious and ruthless and sharp. She's in the shadow of her pretty, slutty older brother, and likes it that way. She can get things done in the shadows, where people pay less attention to the fine details of her existence. If there's blackmail to be done, or threats to be made that need to be taken seriously, it's her you want, with her pretty, shy little smile and her very professional camera and her infernos of ghost-fire a finger click away. She wants to crack open the world someday, and let all of the beauty and secrets inside leak out over the surface.

She neither takes shit, nor gives single fucks. She might be only a college junior, but she already has her PhD in Bitchcraft. She writes fanfiction and believes in fairy tales. If she tells you she will light you on fire, she is not lying.

But she isn't dangerous. She'd need malice in her, not just hot anger balanced out by bright glee, to be dangerous. Unlike her brother, she'll apologize for what she is.

She works hard for what she wants, possibly too hard, and feels it catching up to her like the tingling inside your mouth before you faint. But when people tell her she can do something, she believes them.

She's harder than Mercutio, sharper. Always has been. Someone had to get the brains and self-preservation, out of the two of them. And it makes her fierce and upright and good, but slightly less of a good guy than him.
