Because we finally worked out the relative ages/timeline of a bunch of ancillary characters in Gears. It now appears completely probable that a young Jonah MacGregor ran around London with a middle-aged but still boss Boris Hand, Sr. Assisting her in hunting down Springheel Jack, London's newest supernatural threat/batman/troll, babysitting Madam Hand's 12-year-old, appallingly normal son, getting browbeaten into all kinds of weird scenarios and generally loving it.

Mrs Hand has a unique superpower. She can make the clothing of any era, even the 1840s with their droopy hair and crinolines, look badass.
